About

Vince BlackhamMy name is Vince Blackham and I am the owner of Primary Affect, a new, but effective, SEO firm.  I’ve been actively learning and executing SEO strategies since 2002.  I had always been interested in websites and created my first one when I was 15 (yes, it had a bunch of animated GIFs!!).  Around age 17, I became very intersted, and subsequently very successful with eBay.

I started to learn SEO when I signed up with a program to properly teach me the concepts and help me in building my own site.  I was given a “coach” to walk me through it all and my interest grew like wildfire.  I started a site in the aftermarket automotive performance industry which was very intriguing to me.  Watching my site come out of obscurity into the SERPs got me hooked and I changed jobs to become one of these “coaches” to teach the principles I had learned.

I found that it was an ever evolving field that kept me immersed in books and websites continuously…which I loved!  I later set up other websites that sold product as well as affiliate-based sites and learned much more of the industry.

In 2005, I became highly addicted to the new social voting sites such as Digg, StumbleUpon and Reddit.  I quickly built up my accounts and submitted content from the internet as well as my own sites.  It became even more addicting when I submitted my own site’s post to Digg and watched it reach the front page (which brought over 99,000 visitors in a 24 hour period).  I later moved on to other social platforms such as Twitter, Plurk and Sphinn to gain friends within my industry.

Primary Affect was started in the beginning of 2007 and has quickly become a successful company serving over a dozen clients in several different industries.  I love SEO and social marketing.  I eat, drink and dream of it.  I hope that this blog will continue to bring helpful information to those that read it!
